What is a LEEDŽ AP?

A LEEDŽ Accredited Professional (LEEDŽ AP) is an individual who has passed the exam and possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design process, to support and encourage integrated design, and to streamline the application and certification process. The exam was launched in 2001 to recognize, through accreditation, individuals' understanding of green building practices and principles, and familiarity with LEEDŽ requirements, resources, and processes.

LEEDŽ Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEEDŽ Certification process. LEEDŽ Accredited Professionals (LEEDŽ APs) have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEEDŽ Green Building Rating System.

The LEEDŽ AP credential represents knowledge of the LEEDŽ Rating System and its application in practice. LEEDŽ APs facilitate the integrated design process and streamline the LEEDŽ Certification process.
