Drew Smith received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1999 from Mercer University located in Macon, Georgia. He received his Juris Doctor Degree in 2002 from Washington and Lee University School of Law located in Lexington, Virginia. Immediately after passing the Bar Exam in 2002, Drew moved to the Orlando area and began his practice in the areas of local government law, commercial litigation, insurance defense, construction litigation and community association law.
Drew currently represents many public and private clients in both transactional matters and litigation. He serves as the City Attorney for two central Florida municipalities and as an Assistant City Attorney for four others. In 2008, Drew became Board Certified by The Florida Bar in City, County and Local Government Law.
Drew is a member of the City, County and Local Government Law and Eminent Domain sections of the Florida Bar. He is also a member of the Florida Municipal Attorneys Association and the Orange County Bar Association. Drew has served as a lecturer at various continuing legal education seminars on topics including special districts, Sunshine Law, comprehensive planning, and land use.
Drew actively supports and volunteers with several charitable organizations including the That Others May Live Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, and Canine Companions for Independence. He currently lives in Winter Springs with his wife Kathryn.
